William F. Nolan (1928–2021) received the topmost honors in horror-, crime-, and science- fiction.

He co-authored the bestselling novel Logan's Run with George Clayton Johnson, wrote
Logan's World and Logan's Search solo, then concluded his legacy-saga with Paul McComas on
Logan's Last Run.

Nolan, Johnson, Ray Bradbury, Richard Matheson, Charles Beaumont, and
John Tomerlin comprised a famous 1950s writers' group. Nolan's story collections include
Impact-20 and Ships in the Night (foreword by McComas); his nonfiction includes Nolan on
Bradbury.

He penned screenplays (Burnt Offerings), and such teleplays for Dan Curtis as The
Turn of the Screw, The Norliss Tapes, and (with Matheson) Trilogy of Terror.
