Iphigenia Strangeworth was born and raised in Houston, Texas, where she began writing horror stories as soon as she found out what death was.

She now splits her time between Texas and Virginia and, when she's not writing, can be found reading, sewing, baking, embroidering, and being a little weird about her doll collection. She enjoys hyper-violent horror and sparkly pink unicorns in equal measure.

Like most authors, she is semi-nocturnal and might scurry away if you encounter her in the dead of night; ask her about Monster High and give her a cookie to gain her trust. Should you find yourself without a cookie, she'll take a fun fact about spotted hyenas in a pinch.
