Ferenc K. Zoltan

Ferenc K. Zoltán is a Hungarian author currently residing in Oban, Scotland.

His debut novel, The Color of Death Is Red, was published in 2019, exploring the 1944-45 siege of Budapest through the eyes of the soldiers defending the city. This was followed in 2021 by The Gospel of the Devil, which portrays a series of ritual murders on the streets of Budapest.

In 2023, the Hungarian edition of The Black Monastery was released, earning recognition from both Creepyshake and Cinegore magazines as one of the best books of the year. Additionally, the Horrorscope podcast named it one of the year's top books. All of Ferenc K. Zoltán's published books have been nominated for the András Dugonics Literary Award, making it onto the final shortlist.

In 2024, his short story The Soul of Paintings was published in the June issue of the American magazine The Chamber, and four of his short stories were featured in The Damned anthology by Dragon Soul Press.
